In infrastructure Stack model the usage and responsibility is defined per unit of consumption
Unit of consumption is an entity you consume and take responsibility for, e.g.
- If you watch Netflix, then the service itself is the unit of consumption.
- You have subscribed to Netflix, and it’s your responsibility to manage your account.
- If you deploy a VM, then operation system is the unit of consumption.
- You created VM, and it’s you responsibility to manage the OS
Service models we use today are coming from the evolutions of the classic infrastructure stack.
Green is the unit of consumption, the part you pay for.
